Samir Nuriyev, Head of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, introduced to the Committee’s staff Shahin Baghirov, who has been appointed First Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee and entrusted with the duties of Chairman of the SCC.
Samir Nuriyev stressed that, under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, fundamental reforms are being carried out in all areas of public administration. He noted that the main purpose of the reforms is to further improve governance, achieve transparency in the work of state bodies and ensure the satisfaction of citizens. Samir Nuriyev conveyed to the staff the instructions of the head of state regarding the fulfilment of the tasks set before the customs authorities.
First Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee and acting Chairman of the State Customs Committee Shahin Baghirov expressed his gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, for the high trust placed in him. Shahin Baghirov stressed that, together with his colleagues in the customs service, he would mobilise all his resources to justify the trust of the head of state and would work diligently to achieve a qualitative change in the work of the customs authorities.
