On amendments to Decree No. 331 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan of 16 December 2005 “On the appointment of representatives of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan in foreign states (customs attachés) and on ensuring their activities” and to Decree No. 349 of 20 November 2018 “On the application of Law No. 1305-VQD of the Republic of Azerbaijan of 30 October 2018 ‘On amendments to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan On Passports’”
Guided by paragraph 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I hereby resolve:
1. To introduce the following amendments to Decree No. 331 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan of 16 December 2005 “On the appointment of representatives of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan in foreign states (customs attachés) and on ensuring their activities” (Collection of Legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 2005, No. 12, Article 1100 (Volume I)):
1.1. in the title and in parts 3 and 4, the words “in foreign states” shall be replaced by the words “in foreign states and international organisations”;
1.2. in part 1, the word “states” shall be replaced by the words “foreign states and international organisations”, and the words “in foreign states” shall be deleted from that part;
1.3. part 2 shall be worded as follows:
“2. It shall be established that:
2.1. the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall, after agreeing them with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, submit its proposals on the appointment of representatives (customs attachés) in foreign states and international organisations to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for approval in accordance with part 1 of this Decree;
2.2. representatives (customs attachés) of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan in foreign states and international organisations shall perform their functions as part of the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Azerbaijan accredited in those foreign states or international organisations and shall coordinate their activities with the activities of those missions.”.
2. In subparagraph 3.2 of Decree No. 349 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan of 20 November 2018 “On the application of Law No. 1305-VQD of the Republic of Azerbaijan of 30 October 2018 ‘On amendments to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan On Passports’” (Collection of Legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 2018, No. 11, Article 2262 (Volume I)), after the words “the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan” the words “, the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan” shall be added.
